Complex matrix model duality

چکیده
The same complex matrix model calculates both tachyon scattering for the c = 1 non-critical string at the self-dual radius and certain correlation functions of half-BPS operators in N = 4 superYang-Mills. It is dual to another complex matrix model where the couplings of the first model are encoded in the Kontsevich-like variables of the second. The duality between the theories is mirrored by the duality of their Feynman diagrams. Analogously to the Hermitian KontsevichPenner model, the correlation functions of the second model can be written as sums over discrete points in subspaces of the moduli space of punctured Riemann surfaces.

Foundations of Gauge and Perspective Duality
Common numerical methods for constrained convex optimization are predicated on efficiently computing nearest points to the feasible region. The presence of a design matrix in the constraints yields feasible regions with more complex geometries. When the functional components are gauges, there is an equivalent optimization problem—the gauge dual—where the matrix appears only in the objective fun...

The matrix model formulation of M theory can be generalized to compact transverse backgrounds such as tori. If the number of compact directions is K then the matrix model
متن کاملNote on Seiberg Duality in Matrix Model
In this note, we give a method to derive the Seiberg duality by the matrix model. The key fact we used is that the effective actions given by matrix model method should be identical for both electric and magnetic theories. We demonstrate our method for SQCD with U(N), SO(N) and Sp(N) gauge groups.
متن کاملOn the duality of quadratic minimization problems using pseudo inverses
In this paper we consider the minimization of a positive semidefinite quadratic form, having a singular corresponding matrix $H$. We state the dual formulation of the original problem and treat both problems only using the vectors $x in mathcal{N}(H)^perp$ instead of the classical approach of convex optimization techniques such as the null space method. Given this approach and based on t...
